Unipack One Pair of Adjustable Dumbbells Kits - 200 Lbs (100lbs X 2pc) are simple to store anywhere because of their flexibility, size and convenience. Unipack adjustable dumbbells is a great investment because it can help you to perform a wide variety of exercises with different weights and at any place like in gym, home or even during work. However, being a fitness lover and lifting weights for many year, I have faced one drawback on using Unipack’s Adjustable Dumbbells Reviews 2017.

That is, while adjusting the plates there is only an increments of 5lbs., therefore the size of a bar cam fit more weights which can sum up to the full 52.5 lbs.Like the weight covers up the whole bar if you go far all in weights of 52.5lbs. This thing could’ve been solved if the increment would have been of ten lbs. Also you cannot go for Unipack Adjustable dumbbells if you are performing a quick super set exercise in which you have to do variation of weights in each set.

Unipack One Pair of Adjustable Dumbbells are no doubt one of the best adjustable dumbbells present in Amazon. With a total of one hundred and five lbs. The review is obviously outstanding. The best part of Unipack Adjustable Dumbbells Reviews 2018 is that they are very affordable and durable. The Heavy Duty Cast Iron plates with a dark black paint on it gives a very heavier and old school look also the chrome handles which is textured to provide solid and firm grip while lifting makes these dumbbells simply outstanding from the rest.

These weight plates are adjusted by spin on collars and Rubber cushions accommodates the weight to stay in its place while lifting. Wobbling of weight is completely minimized with the help of rubber cushions which provides stable form in exercise. However, the Cast iron adjustable dumbbells does have some important drawbacks like it takes time to change add or remove weight if you are performing high intensity circuit and for some there is a concern that the grip is painful to their handles.

A dark black paint is done on the weights made up of Cast Iron. Giving them a look of Heavy-Duty Solid Dumbbells which consists of good quality paint that holds up for months. There is a chipping of weight after several months of use but if you are fond of only lifting heavy then that factor won’t affect your exercise much as your holding only bar to grip the dumbbells. There was a concern by some users that the paint on the plates produce a smell when you first receive it which disturbs the environment, that paint is having a coating, a special type of chemical which will prevent the plates of getting rust.

From the bar, it’s a pretty easy stuff to add or remove weights. You can simply screw on the collars to adjust weight. On each end of the collar there is a rubber which prevents the weight to wobble once you are performing the exercise hence it keeps them in their place. Since the Rubber is a much lighter material than Cast Iron, Unipack provides you with six spare rubber washers just in case

What are the differences in design?

For the most part, adjustable dumbbells are no different from regular dumbbells. The most difference you will notice is the length of the bar, and, depending on the type of dumbbell you get, the shape. Most adjustable dumbbells are longer than typical dumbbells, because they have to fit more weights on at one time. Most people find this easy to accommodate, and many believe it actually strengthens your core because you have to work on your balance more.

The other main difference is the shape; some adjustable dumbbells are the same shape as regular dumbbells, but others, such as many Powerblock models, are more of a square shape. Typically, users who are at first hesitant to use these quad-shaped dumbbells find them easy to get used to, and not a hindrance.

What are these dumbbells made of?

Adjustable dumbbells can be made out of just about any sort of hard metal, but many are made of steel or are chrome-plated. While you want to look for steel weights that will be durable, the construction of the bar is more important. Some dumbbells have metal bars, and some have rubber coating or foam grips. These last two styles can be easier to handle and leave less calluses or blistering on your hands.

They are also good if you have arthritis, because your grip will be more comfortable and your wrists won’t slip on them. Foam and rubber handles are also gentler to rest on your thighs in between reps.

What kinds of adjustable dumbbells are there?

Adjustable dumbbells can come in many styles. Some use a dial mechanism, some use selector pins, some use sliding adjustment locks, and some use weights that slide on or off of the main pole. There are other types of adjustable dumbbells, but these are the most common you will find.

How does a dial mechanism work, and what are the benefits?

Dial mechanism dumbbells are by far the speediest and easiest dumbbells you can get. They are common on Bowflex and XMark dumbbells. Essentially, you set the dial for the weight you desire, and the dumbbells release weights to the desired setting. Dial mechanisms are quick, easy to use, and generally very safe, without you needing to worry about the weights shifting or falling off.

How does a selector pin work, and what are the benefits?

Selector pin dumbbells work very much like the large machines you see at most gyms. There is a plastic or metal pin that you set at the weight you want to work out at, and when you lift the dumbbells release the weights you don’t want to use. Powerblock dumbbells often use the selector pin device. Selector pins are fast and easy to use, because you probably already know how to use them from working out at the gym.

They are also fairly safe, with little chance of the weights sliding or shaking.

How do sliding adjustment locks work, and what are the benefits?

Sliding adjustment locks have a metal tube that slides in and out of the handle and locks to the amount of weight you desire. Sliding adjustment locks are popular on Bayou Fitness models. In general, sliding adjustment locks are perfectly safe, but they do tend to be more complicated and less user-friendly than dial mechanism and selector pins. They also have a tendency to not lock properly every time, so you may find yourself lifting more weight than you really want to.

How do sliding weights work, and what are the benefits?

Sliding weights are very similar to dumbbells you find sold individually or at your local gym. You simple slide plates onto the bar to your desired weight, and then use a cap or bolt to lock them in. Sliding weights tend to be the cheapest form of adjustable dumbbells. If not made well, sliding weights can rattle or shake on the bar, which makes for an uncomfortable workout. A well-made, mid-range sliding weight set should not have any safety issues, but very poor quality sets might be of concern.

What weight range should I look for in an adjustable dumbbell set?

How much weight you need on an adjustable dumbbell set depends entirely on how you plan to use them. If you are very serious about weightlifting and bodybuilding, you will want a set that has at least 100 pounds on each side, for a total of 200 pounds. If you are a moderate weightlifter, you can probably do fine with up to 50 pounds of weight per dumbbell. Anyone who is interested in strength training for weight loss rather than building mass would be fine with as little as 10 pounds per dumbbell.

Intervals are best described as the number of pounds between possible weights on an adjustable dumbbell. For example, you could have 2.5 pound intervals, which means the weights would increase from 5 to 7.5. Or, you could have 5 pound intervals, which means that weights would increase from 5 to 10. Unless you are already able to easily lift the maximum weight on your adjustable dumbbell set, you must make sure not to purchase anything with more than 5 pound intervals. Weightlifting should be a very gradual sport, with slow progress.

What other features should I look for in a set of dumbbells?

An ergonomic design and the inclusion of a stand are really good features to look for. Ergonomic designs make it easy for you to follow a range of motions and open up more exercise possibilities, while a stand can help you from straining your back bending over to pick up the weights time and again. Many adjustable dumbbell sets have stands that you can purchase separately for an additional charge, but a few come with a stand. You might also want to choose a set of dumbbells that comes with a workout guide or instruction manual, so that you can learn which exercises work best with them and how to use them.

Is there anything particular I should know about using adjustable dumbbells?

The most important thing to know when using adjustable dumbbells is that you should never, ever throw them on the ground. Unlike regular dumbbells, which can take a fair amount of abuse, adjustable dumbbells are more sensitive due to their locking mechanisms, so always treat them with care.

What kind of exercises can I do using dumbbells?

You can do just about any exercise with an adjustable dumbbell that you can do with regular dumbbells. You can do arm, chest, shoulders, back, ab, and leg exercises. From squats, curls, flies, presses, and raises to rows, lunges, shrugs and crunches, there is almost no limit to the exercises you can do with adjustable dumbbells. Look for new exercises online, or refer to the instructional DVD or booklet that might come with your dumbbells to take full advantage of them in your workout routine.

Can I do P90X training or High Intensity Interval Training using dumbbells?

You can use adjustable dumbbells in just about any work-out routine, including P90X and HIIT. For both of these, you will want to invest in a set that has a dial mechanism, as it is by far the quickest way to change weights and you only have a few seconds between reps.

Review 1

I have a full Olympic set and was originally looking to buy a pair of Olympic dumbells. However the cheapest I could find where 80 for just the dumbell and they where 20 inches long which didn’t seem comfortable. I happen to have 6 10 lb plates and 4 fives and to get to 50 lbs per dumbell I would have had to spend about 140 and that’s taking into account that I already have a lot of plates. This is by far the most cost effective option. The seller also has 4 1.15 inch 10lb plates for 45 that I plan on purchasing later to bring the set up to 140 lb.Used them today and they feel very solid. Didn’t have to adjust or tighten in between sets. If you tighten them properly I can’t imagine what I would have to do to get them loose by working out. There are some reviews that say they come loose. Maybe someone is not tightening snuggly or throwing their weights around after sets.I’m incredibly pleased. I still can’t believe how good of a deal this was.

Review 2

they’re heavy, and they’re durable. Who cares if the paint flakes a little bit, or if they don’t weight EXACTLY 105lbs as a set? Expect what you’re getting: A cheap set of (probably) Chinese dumbbells. No more, no less. They’re heavy and they do their job. I use them to even out asymmetrical body parts, such as when I’m doing an exercise that would typically call for a barbell but I want to go independent to address the lag on one side. The finish on the bar is nice and the knurling on the grip doesn’t throw splinters. The collars don’t loosen up while I’m in the middle of a set. Give them a try. They are solidly made and I believe will be useful for a long time.

Review 3

They did have a slight smell, like some stated in other reviews, but I think it’s just the coating or paint on the plates. I don’t notice it anymore and it wasn’t unpleasant. The weights are holding up very well, no chipping of paint or anything.

Other Useful Information

  • Some reviewers complained that the plates slipped off and no longer stayed on after a couple of months.
  • Plates can be easily removed or added to the dumbbells and secured with the threaded collars.
  • The cast iron plates have a semi-gloss finish so rust and maintenance is not a concern.
  • This set comes complete with a heavy-duty plastic case with placeholders for storing all the pieces, and a secure-closing lid and carrying handle.
  • The storing case allows for a nice and organized setup for the dumbbells.
  • It%u2019s a great set for home gym workouts.
  • Comfortable grip that feels like a normal dumbbell even though handles are a bit different than others. Design doesn’t allow you to bend your wrist while using them which helps maintain good form.
  • While the weights can be adjusted in 2.5 lb increments using the in-handle weights, there are 5 lb gaps in the sequence for every 10 lbs, so that you have to go from 20 lbs to 25 lbs, 40 lbs to 45 lbs, etc.
  • Unlike traditional dumbbells you can’t drop these square dumbbells. If you like to superset and switch weights quickly to a specific weight, these won’t work for you.
  • When trying to put up the selected weight from the block, it tries to bring an additional plate up as well. This additional plate is not locked in, and is just metal stuck to metal. This happens between the 50 and 60, and also the 60 and the 70.
  • This single adjustable dumbbell does the work of multiple dumbbells in one and was designed for the stronger athlete.
  • Sturdy molding base support the metal plates to create a smooth liftoff. Bowflex includes a bonus DVD with more than 30 exercises.
  • Although this choice is just a single dumbbell, I have actually owned a set of the 1090%u2019s and can attest to the quality that these dumbbells are.
  • Yes they are a bit bulky but it%u2019s great being able to have 90 lbs worth of weight easily accessible.
  • Really depends on what you plan on using these for.
  • If you think you might just be doing curls and other lighter exercises then the 552%u2019s might be a better option but if you think you might be doing bench presses and other heavy exercises then these are a great option.
  • Easy to adjust, great for the home gym, worth the price. Real time saver, with this dumbbell you will decrease the amount of time spent changing weights between exercises.

Conclusion

In the market right now, Adjustable dumbbells costs around hundreds of dollars . But Unipack One Pair of Adjustable Dumbbells Kits - 200 Lbs (100lbs X 2pc) are one of the most affordable adjustable dumbbells Review because of their affordable price and great quality. Unipack is one of the leading producers of gym equipment for both men and women.
