The Stamina Air Rower is remarkable for its quality, ease of use, easy storage, and of course the fact that it has air resistance, all at such a low price. The machine caters to beginners, intermediates, and advanced users alike. Bring this rowing machine home and you'll be getting a top-notch cardio workout, sculpting your upper and lower body, and doing it in a low-impact way.

Air resistance is one of the best and smoothest kinds of resistance you can find. The more and harder you work out, the more resistance is built so you can really kick up your workout intensity. It's a different feel from magnetic or water resistance, but people get the hang of it really fast.

Because the Stamina rower's frame can be folded, and because of its excellent compact dimensions, the machine can be easily stored anywhere. It's not going to be in use 100% of the time, so this is a great addition. It's surprising how light the construction is considering its durability.

A huge plus is that the seat of the Stamina Air Rower is padded and upholstered, making it extra comfortable to sit on and workout. Combining that with the overall design of the device, as well as the air resistance, this translates into a smooth and comfy workout.

Overall there is a general consensus that the Air Rower is awesome.

Stamina's magnetic rowers include the Conversion II bike-rowers and the $999 Avari Programmable Magnetic with 12 preset workouts. A top Stamina air rower is the handsome Stamina X, a sleek red and black rower selling for $549. For the best of both worlds, Stamina also makes an $1199 hybrid magnetic-air rower called the DT Pro.

Most Stamina indoor rowers are hydraulic. Their hydraulic rower collection includes some of the smallest and cheapest rowing machines on the market. These units tend to fit adults of most heights, even when the machine frames are very compact.

When I first tried it out I did a few reps at high and low resistance and didn't notice a huge difference but as soon as I did a real interval workout I noticed a huge difference as the resistance level changed. Rowing is for cardio not for strength training, use weight to get that. As a cardio workout this thing is more than up to the challenge of providing enough resistance.Overall I'm genuinely convinced this is one of the best rowers you are likely to find for in-home use and under $500. Particularly if, like me, you are looking for something quiet (fan rowers are great but quite loud). A couple of bucks at Home Depot and about 20 minutes of my time will more than remedy the situation as I'll make better ones using nylon webbing. The fact that I feel compelled to do so though is why I withheld the 5th star.

Cup holder seems to hold rower from folding up. After a week, it stopped serving this function and the head unit wants to fold up into your lap with every pull. So now, it's a space taker until I figure out how to keep it from folding up on me.This would be a servicable rower for the cost if not for this issue. The counter is very basic, and the buttons don't work very well.If the item worked exactly as it should, I would give it three and a half stars. As it is, it's about one and a half; being generous.

I have a lot of good things to say about this rower and only one small complaint. From opening the box to finished product took me about 45 minutes and probably could have been done in well under 25 if I'd actually been in any sort of hurry.2. Literally all I hear is the sound of the seat rolling on the rails and the strap sliding across plastic as I move back and forth. With the exception of my one small complaint this seems like a good, sturdy piece of equipment that will hold up well. Particularly at this price point (It's not a $2.000 machine so of course it's not built like one) I am very pleased with the quality of materials and design.4. Having used both water and air rowers in the past, I was hesitant to order this one. However, I've been quite impressed overall. The tension nylon seems to be quite durable, the seat is not too unbearable, and it's super quiet as well. It folds up to be in redibly compact, and is light enough that I can move easily enough (the wheels don't really roll on carpet).I didn't give it a 5 because there have been some challenges, as follows. Also, a forewarning: this product didn't offer prime shipping, but the standard shipping was free regardless. However, it did take close to 2 weeks to get to me. If you're looking for something you can get in 3-5 days, buyer beware.Overall, while it's not the best I've ever used, I also didn't want to spend a huge amount of money. I'd say for the dollar, this is a great product and performs better than I had anticipated.

The resistance mechanism is very quiet; the most noticeable sound comes from the seat as the urethane wheels roll on the track. The action is smooth and the resistance is consistent. The resistance is a little limited – I'm a 150 lb. If I get much stronger I'm going to outgrow this rower. The frame is strong and stable; no rocking or lifting occurs. It's light and easy to tilt up for storage and roll around on hard floors. The foot straps are cheap, but they are wide and have two different options for placement on the foot plates, so they hold well. One issue is the “reach” feels a little short. If you have long arms you might feel like the place where the handle cradles into the machine could be a few inches farther away to give you a longer reach to start your stroke. Overall, it's a good piece of equipment for regular people. The small footprint and quiet operation make it an ideal apartment rower. I did a short workout and everything worked correctly. The only thing I have to correct is that the unit beeps on every stroke. I believe there is a fix for that but I have not investigated that solution.

Other Useful Information

Aluminum is regarded as an ideal rowing beam material because it ensures smooth seat gliding. Plus, it's durable and will last you for years to come.

With eight levels of smooth, quiet magnetic resistance, you'll be able to get an invigorating workout without disturbing anyone.

The monitor tracks total strokes, strokes per minute, workout time, distance and calories burned, further motivating you to keep rowing. It also scans through the stats.

Pivoting footplates allow for a larger range of motion during push-off and return. No matter how hard you push off, the adjustable straps will secure your feet.

In addition to the aluminum beam, the ball-bearing rollers also ensure smooth seat gliding. Plus, the padded, molded seat makes your 1110 rowing experience all the more enjoyable.

The foam rowing handle makes gripping easier and more comfortable, which is crucial in longer rowing sessions.

To make rowing on the 1110 even more desirable, we included the phone and water bottle holder to make your life easier.

Transporting the rower is easy. Simply tilt the lightweight rower forward and roll it to its next destination.

After rolling it to a closet or corner for storage, just stand the rower on its end.

Conclusion

The Stamina Multi-Level Magnetic Resistance Rowing Machine is an inexpensive and exceptionally designed air-resistance machine. Couple that with the comfortable seat, seamless rowing, and a nice monitor, and you have yourself a winner. This is an excellent rower for people who are looking for a great workout at home.
