It is impressive, and refreshing, to see an ingredients list that is organic and free from parabens, glycerin, aspartame and other nasty things that can cause irritation, infection or drying of the mucous membranes.

3. YES is NOT the ideal lubricant for menopausal women
Vaginal moisturizers will help a little but they don’t have much lasting effect because they don’t actually do anything to the vaginal tissues except coat them.

Yes Water based Lubricant is a reasonably thin, watery, slightly cloudy lubricant. When I apply it to the back of my hand, it will trickle down to my wrist reasonably fast. It is thinner than pretty much all the lubricants I have to compare it to, including Sliquid Sassy, Pjur Back Door, Durex Play and Swoon Lubricant. I usually avoid runny water based lubricants for two reasons, 1) They don’t seem to last long before needing reapplied and 2) They often do not provide an adequate, slick, thick buffer between skin and sex toy, so I was not surprised to discover that using Yes Water based Lubricant for anal sex, or with large, highly textured sex toys, left me feeling a little chafed and sore. This is simply not a heavy duty lubricant. It does however, last a reasonable amount of time before needing reactivated or reapplied, so although Yes Water based Lubricant was not suitable for heavy duty use, it was certainly comparable to some of my favourite lubricants when it comes to standard play, including vagina/penis penetration, or for use with smaller sex toys, and of course, for reducing friction and discomfort during clitoral stimulation with fingers or vibrators.

I wasted a load of money on Sylk and Yes, Yes, Yes they are useless, Gynest cream and Ovestin are the best for me. (estrogen HRT)

I use the water-based version of Yes, one 5ml pre-filled applicator on alternate days, then Sylk during intercourse. Can’t compare as haven’t used hormonal-based products but, generally, this combination works for me.

A few weeks ago I ordered a small tube of the vaginal moisturizer, and I just tried it last night for the first time. Thought I would post my initial thoughts on it Smile
I didn’t notice any crazy irritation from it, but my skin is overly sensitive right now, so the mild burning it caused for maybe a minute after application didn’t worry me much (YES WB can do that to me too).
YES VM is thicker and less runny than the water based lubricant, which can be either good or bad. I apply it to almost my entire vulva, and it was nice that I didn’t have to worry about it running down my bum when in bed. However, I have been applying YES WB to the top part of my vulva and letting it run down the rest of my skin so I didn’t have to do a lot of rubbing or anything else irritating (doesn’t take much YES WB to use it this way). You can’t do this with YES VM. It just sits there in a gel glob unless you rub it in. If touching my skin didn’t set off a flare up for me, I would probably say that I would appreciate the thicker formula, but for what I need right now, it requires too much fiddling to make it go where I need it.
Also, I was hoping that YES VM wouldn’t cause dried “flakes” in my hairline like the YES WB, but unfortunately it does. It seems to be less, but I’m sure that’s because it is too thick to move everywhere the YES WB can.
Since it hasn’t caused any extreme reactions so far, I’d say I’m willing to keep using it

After having it on for a while, it turns white and almost sticky. I thought I was having horrible discharge, but I’ve now realized it happens every time I use YES VM.
It makes such a mess that I’m probably not going to keep using it for now. Not sure how it behaves if used vaginally, but I sure hope it doesn’t create a white fallout like RepHresh (thought the website said it didn’t do that but who knows).

I recently bought this product and was quite disappointed with it. The packaging was pretty…it came with no safety cover on the tube and when I attempted to use this right in the middle of an experience – the entire tube squirted over both of us and all over the bed linens….a whole lot of mess, and a whole lot of embarrassment. I expected a gel like substance – not a substance similar to body cream with no consistency.

This is the worst sexual lubricant me and my spouse have ever used. Regular water based lube irritates my wife, we have been using coconut oil for a year or so and it worked great but she hated that she felt “wet” the next day from it. Thought we would give this a try since it was free of many chemicals.However it’s lubricant properties only worked for about 60 seconds before disappearing and becoming slightly tacky feeling. Maybe we are different, but the good reviews fooled me. Stay away, not worth 28 bucks. Might work on a prostate exam, but friction isn’t it’s friend.
